Mitchell Spink is fancied to do well this season and after a slow start in the first two rounds he found his form to take first place at Tremough Muga. His 14 points putting him 1 point ahead of second placed Marcus Jay who put in his best performance so far for 13 points. Jordan Trott finished off the podium places scoring well again with 12 points to keep his season well on track. Another rider who has started the season well is Ashley Wakerley and he kept that form going with fourth place and 11 points. The consistent Alex Gagen had no wins in his 9 points but was never far away in all of his races. Younger riders Chris Ford and Michael Plant rode well for 8 points each. A tapes exclusion stopped Plant finishing higher. Dominic Rivers started and finished with race wins but had three poor rides sandwiched in between. Also on 7 with Rivers were James Knight and Frankie Young who both look as though they could be good riders in the future. A nasty crash in heat 16 when Adam Schofield locked up and was hit by Boyd Beaton resulted in both riders missing the last rides and Schofield being taken to hospital with a broken collarbone.

Boyd Beaton and Adam Schofield crashed in heat 16. Beaton sprained his wrist and was withdrawn from his last ride, He will be fine for the next round. Schofield landed heavily on the track and has broken his collarbone. He will be out for 5 weeks.
